MD, MSc
I am Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Centro Hospitalar Tamega e Sousa, Penafiel, Portugal, and Head of the Neuropsychiatry Team. I have a special inerest in ADHD, early-onset bipolar disorders, and developmental neuropsychiatry.
I studied medicine (MD) at the University of Porto, Portugal. In 2006 I started my trainee in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Centro Hospitalar do Porto. In 2011 I finished my trainee after 6 months of clinical placement at the National and Specialist Children's Inpatient Unit (Acorn Lodge) of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and as a research fellow in the Department of Psychosis Studies.
In 2005 I completed a Postgraduate Programme of Forensic Medical Sciences; in 2006 I completed an MSc in Forensic Medicine.
