I studied medicine at Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. From 2001 to 2007 I completed my postgraduate medical training in Psychiatry in Yorkshire and gained membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2004. During that period, I also completed a Master’s in Population Health at York University.

My current research interests focus on major psychiatric disorders including bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and schizophrenia. I take a special interest in the integration of psychodynamic principles with neurobiological findings.
My work in Dr. Jogia's lab currently utilises structural MRI and voxel-based morphometry techniques.
